How to create a OneNote Notebook

This guide is going to walk you through the process of Creating the various parts of a OneNote Notebook.

1)  Click on the tab for your Notebooks

2)  Click on Add Notebook to create a new notebook

Create Notebook

1)  You should select your OneDrive - Personal if you have set up your Microsoft account with your TCC email address. It may ask you to log in first

2)  Name your notebook as you wish.

3)  Click on Create Notebook

Sharing

At this point you can share the document with others.  Click Invite People

Invite

1) Click on Invite People

2) Type in the email addresses of the people you wish to share with (Their TCC email address)

3) Chose the level of access they well have with the Notebook

4)  Type in a message to them if you wish

5)  Click Share

Getting a link

1)  Click on Get a Sharing Link

2)  Click on Create Link for the level of access you want people to have   ***NOTE***  The Hyperlink should have the HTTP://Onedrive address, not your Server here at TCC.

3)  Copy and paste the link in an email to those you wish to share with

1)  To Add a Section, Click on the +

2)  Type the name of the new section and just tap enter on your keyboard to save the name

1)  To add a Page, click on Add Page

2)  The new page will appear with a default name.  To rename the page, Right click on the Page

3)  Click on Rename and type the new name of the page

Another way to rename the page is to click on the title and just edit it.

On the page you want to indent, Left click and hold the mouse, you will see the 4 way arrows appear

Drag the title to the right and the 4 way arrow will turn into a 2 way horizontal arrow

Color Coding

1)  Right click on the tab you wish to change the color of

2)  Left click on the heading for Section Color  

3)  Left click on the color you want to use

You are now ready to start adding content.
