Add a Canon Multifunction (MFD) Printer/Copier
Staff network copiers (MFD Printers) are for use by College employees on campus. Use over the Internet, including through VPN, by students or on personally-owned devices are not supported. Network printers and the print functions of network copiers are not pre-installed when you log in to a new computer. Each person wanting to print to a network copier/printer need to install it for their account on each computer they use. Non-privileged accounts, such as guest, work study, and service accounts may not have permission to install or use network copiers/printers. If installation is needed for such, a regular employee account may have to authenticate the install or the non-privileged account may have to be granted temporary permission to make changes to the system (if this is the case, create a Parature ticket or contact the IT Department). The Canon copiers are part of the print accounting system and you print to a central queue (TCC-PRINTING). The central queue lets you go to any of the copiers that are part of the print accounting system and release your print jobs.
Search for the printer
To easily and quickly install a network copier or printer, open a Windows Explorer (or Finder window on a MAC) window for the list of shared network printers. To do this, select "Run" from the Start menu. If the Run... feature isn't shown, use the Run hot-key of "Windows+R" (the Windows key is between the Alt and Ctrl keys). Hold down the Windows key, tap the R key and release the Windows key.
